ABOUT US

The Canadian Druze Society of Ontario Ottawa Chapter represents the vibrant Druze community in the National Capital Region, including Outaouais and Ottawa. As a branch of the broader CDS network established in 2000 and known for its rich cultural programming in Ontario, our Ottawa Chapter is dedicated to celebrating Druze heritage, fostering unity, and promoting meaningful connections among Druze Canadians.

Our members are descendants of the Druze from the Levant long-established as an ethnoreligious group-shaped by the teachings of Tawḥīd (the Oneness of God) and an emphasis on community, knowledge, and spiritual solidarity.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to cultivate a strong, inclusive, and culturally rich Druze community within Outaouais and the National Capital Region. We envision:

  • A dynamic hub where Druze heritage, language, and values are celebrated and shared across generations.

  • A space for cultural enrichment spanning arts, education, community gatherings, and spiritual reflection.

  • Collaboration with local organizations to enhance multicultural understanding and social cohesion.

  • Support for children, youth, women, and seniors together with families to preserve Druze identity while contributing to the rich mosaic of Canadian society.
